MR. YOGINDER SINGH

Mr Yoginder Singh has more than 25 years of experience in law practice in Courts and as an in-house corporate lawyer. He started his career as a practising Advocate at the Supreme Court of India and then moved to practice in trial courts of Delhi and states of North India. He is an alumnus of Delhi University and IIM Lucknow – Noida and fellow member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India and further has Executive Programme in Strategy Management from Indian School of Business at Hyderabad, India.

After 20 years of an illustrious career, he ventured to set up Yogi & Partners, a boutique law firm that focuses on the niche area of Food Laws, Economic Legislations and Corporate Legal Compliances. Yoginder Singh has completed his schooling at St. Joseph’s Academy Dehradun.

In 1995, he joined as an in-house corporate lawyer with a leading Non-Banking Financial Institution engaged in financing commercial vehicles. His four-year stint there honed his litigation skills in various High Courts and District Courts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. He also pursued his professional as well as academic interests and attained Company Secretary Qualification during this time. In 1998, he joined a leading Pharma & Packaging Conglomerate venturing into then-emerging sectors of Insurance, Healthcare and Information Technology. He set up a comprehensive Statutory Compliance mechanism for its manufacturing operations and helped in negotiations and drafting of various Joint Venture Agreements. He also helped in setting up its software division and in obtaining all STPI approvals. He then joined the Indian subsidiary of the Largest Direct Selling Company in the world and led the Legal, Government Affairs & Corporate Communication teams in safeguarding its business interest in a very dynamic and crusader led environment. He worked to create a more conducive environment for the industry to thrive. He Chaired the Indian Direct Selling Association and worked towards bringing legislation and regulatory clarity for the sector.
